How it Works For Servicemembers

Making Requests:

1. Make a request for items that an Iraqi community needs.

2. If donors can help, they will post pending donations to send items to Iraq to meet your request. Choose whether to accept these donations or not.

3. If you accept, the donor is bound to mail the items to you by the deadline specified. If you do not accept, then the donor will not deliver the items to you.

4. When you receive the donations, you will just need to click on a single button to notify the donors that you have received their donations!

Taking Offers:

1. Browse offers for items that Iraqi communities need.

2. If you find something useful, ask for those items.

3. If the donor agrees to send you the items, he/she is bound to mail the items to you by the deadline specified. If he/she does not agree to deliver the items, then he/she is not bound to do anything.

4. When you receive the donations, you will just need to click on a single button to notify the donors that you have received their donations!

Although we no longer expect you to write feedback in response to each donation, we would greatly appreciate it if you could send emails to the entire BO community from time to time with updates on what donations you have received and how you have used them. To send these, just forward them to team@beyondorders.org and we will send them out on your behalf. General Tips:

Be Specific: State exactly what you need, both in quantity and in quality, and explain exactly why you need the items, and how you will use them. This will increase your chance of getting donations!

Post Pictures: When you receive the goods and write feedback, the more pictures you post, the more donors will trust you and be willing to donate to you and other servicemembers that ask for stuff down the line.

Make Many Small Requests: Otherwise you’ll intimidate the donors.
