We are hoping to collect several hundred, or even a
thousand or more, backpacks and fill each with school
supplies and a simple toy or two. We will also give out
bulk supplies to the school for teachers to use. Pens,
pencils, crayons, hand held pencil sharpeners, erasers,
rulers, glue, picture books and coloring books are all
great items. Yo-yo’s, small balls, juggling balls,
hacky–sack balls, and small stuffed animals all make great
toys. Anything will help! |

***Thank you Beyond Orders! On JUNE 1 we were able to
deliver 171 backpacks to our second school in Kabul. I
will be returning to the US, but our team is committed to
continuing this project. See LTC Troy Anhalt's request if
you'd like to help more kids in Kabul, Afghanistan.***
We
are a team of soldiers, airmen and a sailor augmented by
professors from US Military Academy, US Air Force Academy
working to build up the National Military Academy of
Afghanistan. While here we have noticed so many children
with so little in the neighborhoods throughout Kabul and in
the school, they are always so appreciative and happy when
we are able to bring them school supplies and small items.
We recently visited a school that had 4000 elementary aged
students that come in 4 shifts of 1000 each day. Most of
the class rooms are tents with 50 or more children and only
a chalk board and a few old desks. We hope to be able to
help as many of them as possible at a local public school
in Kabul Afghanistan through the generosity of our country. |
